Welcome to Bentley University, new falcons! You were obviously smart enough to choose Bentley and are now anxiously counting down the weeks to move-in day. To help get the new freshmen ready and make them feel more comfortable at their new home Bentley invites all of the incoming freshmen to come to one of two orientation sessions that are held in June. The two sessions are June 18-20 and June 25-27.
At orientation, current students, called orientation leaders or OL’s, will be assigned a group of incoming freshmen to lead around and introduce them to their new home and each other. Over the three days, the freshmen will be so busy they will hardly have time to sleep between playing ice breakers, hearing lectures and attending events. And, of course, at the end of orientation the freshmen register for their classes for the fall which can be nerve-racking and exciting. And while Bentley encourages students to come to orientation, don’t worry if you can’t make it. A make-up session will be held on freshmen move-in day, August 28th, from 11am-3pm.
So what should freshmen bring to orientation? The essentials: bedding, towels, toiletries, and plenty of active clothing as you’ll be doing a lot of moving during orientation. As for how to make the most out of orientation, check out our other article. And remember, embrace the cheese and enjoy orientation!
