This fall, skip the traditional pastel pinks and French manicures – so last year – and try something new! Changing up your style is a great way to start off a new school year, start small and change up your nails. A pop of color is exciting and unexpected in the fall. Hot pink or neon yellow in the mix of all the dark and neutral toned fall outfits is surprising in a good way!
I have nothing against a “simple” nail color and design, but who wants to be boring? Cheetah print, stripped, ombre…whatever else you can think of, put it on your nails. The ideas are endless! You can never go too far or too crazy with your nails (and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise)! I promise you, being creative is never a bad thing.
People say colorful nails are only for the summer, but they are so wrong about that. No one wants to “blend” in with everyone else, so be unique! A trend that I love to show off is multi-color and multi-design nails! Something different on every nail is a great way to grab someone’s attention and show off your creative side.
OK, I know you might be thinking “OH MY GOD I COULD NEVER DO THAT,” but you totally can. There are so many tricks to make simple designs look really complicated.
- ALWAYS put on as base coat and a top coat. NO base coat = faster chipped nails
- Use scotch tape to help you create designs! Doing it free hand takes practice and time. Placing tape horizontally or vertically on your nails will make your nails look perfect and effortless.
3. Painting your nails white before adding a color will make the color brighter.
4. Soaking you nails in cold water after painting them dries them in 3 minutes. (DON’T dry them with a fan! It will create bubbles and the nail polish can run!)
5. Makeup sponges are your new best friend! A sponge will help you create the perfect ombre look! (don’t forget to paint your nails white before)
