Miss Representation Screening

By now, many Bentley collegiettes have already heard of Miss Representation- a documentary about the mainstream media’s portrayal of women and its impact on opportunities for women. The documentary features interviews with women we all know, like Katie Couric, Condoleezza Rice, and Gloria Steinem. It originally premiered at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival and has grown in popularity ever since. You can follow the link above to see a trailer of the film and to learn more about it.

Seem interesting? Want to see it? This documentary is not widely available and can only be seen at special screenings. Luckily for us, Bentley’s Center for Women and Business is hosting a screening of Miss Representation on Tuesday, February 28th from 5:00 to 6:30 in the Wilder Pavilion. After the film, there’s an optional dinner and round-table discussion led by Professor Duncan Spellman. An RSVP is required for the dinner and can be done here, but is not necessary for the screening. The event is free and is sure to be an interesting and enlightening night. We’ll see you there!
