The god that is Theo James has been low on celebrity radar over the past few years. Besides a small (one episode) stint on Downton Abbey (in which his character died mid-coitus) and the lead in a now-cancelled CBS police drama, he was a relatively unknown actor. That was until the premiere of Divergent, the movie based on the best-selling novel by Veronica Roth, in which Theo plays the broody and mysterious Four. This trilogy, which is being hailed as the next Hunger Games, has propelled the British heartthrob to stardom. Here are some of the reasons why I chose Theo as this week’s pick for Man Crush Monday:

He was the lead singer and guitarist of the London-based band Shere Khan. Although they are no longer actively playing together, videos of their performances are still uploaded on YouTube!
