May 1st is an infamous date for high school seniors, as it is the day that you must finally decide where to spend the next four years of your life. For many this is a very difficult decision. Here are just a few of the many reasons to choose Boston College:
Size
Boston College currently has about 9,000 undergraduates and to me and many other fellow eagles, this is the perfect number. At a medium-sized university like BC, there are enough students so that there is always an opportunity to meet new people. Perhaps more importantly, though, this size allows you to make really close connections with your peers and friends. Walking through the quad you will always find a friendly face.
Location
Located just 6 miles west of downtown Boston, in Chestnut Hill, Boston College is able to take advantage of the “best of both worlds”. With close access to a fun city with many great restaurants and a lot of history, BC is still able to have a safe, suburban campus. With many great places to enjoy in walking distance to campus, you will never feel like you have to leave BC!
Sports
Our D1 sports teams create a great sense of school spirit. Tailgates for football games provide fun activities for most Saturdays in the fall and many students travel to the TD Garden to see the men’s hockey team play in the Beanpot in the winter. The sports at BC allow for many fun weekend events on campus.
The Campus
If you have come to visit the heights you will know that BC has a beautiful campus. Think of the endless #gassongrams you can post if you choose BC!
