Tradr: The “Tinder” of Hidden Treasures

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BC chapter.

Are you looking for trendy, unique clothes and decorations? Do you want to support your local community? Would you like to do these things from the comfort of your own home? There’s an app for that – and we have the inside scoop!

Tradr is a startup founded at Boston’s own Harvard Innovation Lab. The app, which can be downloaded from the iTunes Store, was designed for people who are interested in buying, selling, trading, or giving away creative goods from the comfort of their own smartphone. Tradr is an easy and convenient new way to shop.

The app is being called the “Tinder for finding bargain-priced clothes, decor, furniture and other hidden treasures.” You can find thousands of cheap, beautiful products that are locally made – so you can support your friends and neighbors while you shop!

I think the best part of the app is that the more you use it, the more it gets to know your likes and dislikes! In my experience exploring the app I have found textbooks, clothes, and even furniture at really cheap prices; you can find just about anything you’re looking for! If you’re looking for an affordable way to decorate your dorm, spice up your wardrobe, or making some extra cash, Tradr is the app for you!

Emily is originally from Massachusetts, just 30 minutes outside of Boston. Her small city lies right on the coast where the beach is no more than 2 minutes away. She spends her free time getting addicted to shows on Netflix (it happens to the best of us), napping, and taking Buzzfeed quizzes.
