This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BC chapter.

With New York City Fashion Week coming to a close, as well as London and other major fashion cities’, we have all been revealed to what colors we should expect to see in stores this upcoming spring.  Although we are just transitioning to putting fall clothes in our closets, it is always exciting to look ahead and see what color you should be adding to your wardrobe this spring.

Pantone has recently announced their color for Spring 2014 and the color is Dazzling Blue.  This color, as executive director of Pantone noted, is a practical shade that women are likely to already own. Not too far off from navy, this muted bright tone is sure to be seen on totes, topcoats and shoes this spring. If you are too anxious too wait till spring styles hit the store to see the color on clothes, just look at fashions from Fashion Week and you are sure to see models strutting this hue on the runway.

Wondering what other colors to expect this Spring 2014?  Other muted brights that are a pop to our wardrobes without being too obnoxious are the hot colors to expect in Spring 2014. As Refinery 29 put it, “With a witch’s brew of Violet Tulip, Sand, Freesia, Hemlock, Cayenne, and more rounding out the top 10, the 2014 Pantone predictions present a calmer, more soothing palette for next year.”

Here are the other shades of Spring 2014 that are expected to be hot!
