Reminders for Warm Weather

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BC chapter.

If you are anything like me, as soon as a little bit of sun poked through, you threw all your sweaters in the back of your closet and grabbed your brightest pair of shorts to wear for the day. All I could do was jump around with joy as I could finally walk to the bathroom without shivering in the middle of the night.

That being said, with all the excitement I forgot about some major things that come along with warm weather. For one, SHUT YOUR BLINDS. I am so used to leaving my blinds open as it faces the back of the dorm building and no one ever goes out there. Well, now that it’s nice out people like to hangout on the grass there. I learned this the hard way when I caught a couple hooking up back there while I was changing. #Awkward.

Another key thing to remember is to shave your legs. I for one most definitely did not keep up shaving as well as I could have this winter. I mean with so many negatives about all the snow, at least we didn’t have to spend hours trying to shave in the teeny tiny showers. Even so, now is the time to strategize and get back to shaving – especially above the knee.

Also, do not forget to apply sunscreen. No one wants to look like a lobster, even if you are looking for your lobster – did you get my Friends reference?! If not watch this YouTube video clip.

Take care of your feet! I know, I know, this sounds weird. Even so, go get a pedicure. Now that it’s sandal season, you don’t want gross nails or calices.

In the end, there is a never-ending list of things that need to be done for spring and I hope these reminders help you avoid some embarrassing moments – I’m talking about you, couple hooking up next to my window.
