Mr. Campus Freshman 2015: Pat McBee

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BC chapter.

For all you ladies out there, gentlemen really do exist!  Pat McBee, a guy who isn’t afraid to walk right up to a girl and ask her on a date, restores hope to the girls of BC and dispels the myth that all guys are into the hook-up culture.  As a future surgeon, Pat loves to laugh, play the drums, volunteer, and eat at Crazy Dough’s.  If you ever find yourself in Duchesne West, look for a guy with breathtaking blue eyes and a smile that’s contagious, and you’ve found Pat McBee — a worthy Mr. Campus Freshman 2015 contestant!

Fun Facts:
Favorite movie:  Catch Me If You Can
Pet peeve:  In my biology class (a big lecture hall) someone will sneeze, and then a kid on the complete opposite end of the room will yell out “Bless you!”  It’s nice and all, but completely unnecessary.
Fun fact:  I went to Peru for two months with a volunteer group.  We went to Machu Picchu, volunteered in the Sacred Valley, and went into the Amazon.  It was an amazing experience.
Dream job:  Surgeon
Favorite TV show:  The Office
Favorite concert:  Journey
Favorite BC sport:  Hockey
Favorite hangout spot:  Stuart Dining Hall for late night
Favorite person:  I got to go with my mom for this one.  She’s great.

Love Life
Ideal date:  Dinner in the North End with great conversation followed by Mike’s Pastry.  Then we’d walk down to the waterfront while eating our desserts.
Celeb crush:  Jessica Alba
First kiss:  In 7th grade, on the 4th of July, I was in the park with the girl I had been “dating” for 2 months, which is a big deal in seventh grade.  We were sitting on the grass, I brought a blanket of course to be cliché, and when the fireworks started, I kissed her.
Ideal girl:  My number one requirement is that she has to be able to make me laugh and laugh with me.  We have to be able to have a conversation where we don’t have to try hard.  It should be effortless, and of course, she has to be cute.
