Here at BC, we are all currently suffering through midterm season. Some of us have already managed to survive (hopefully) the abundance of essays and midterms. But for those of us who have not, it’s a gruesome time when the light at the end of the tunnel just seems too far away. The beloved characters of Friends express the stages of midterms especially well…

When you check your calendar and discover you have three midterms this week and two next week.

Realizing you have too little time to study for too many midterms you try and go over the material, but don’t understand any of it.

And to top that off, your professor tells you that the exam won’t be curved.

When you hear people complaining about their two midterms and you have five.

When you read on PEPs that your Professor’s midterms are supposed to be impossible.

When you get to your first midterm and don’t understand what any of the questions are asking you to do.

When you finish your first midterm and have to walk directly to O’Neil to cram for another exam for the following day.

Walking to Lower from O’Neil after studying all night dreaming about chicken tenders and motz sticks and discovering that late night is closed.

After getting your grade back from the first midterm and realizing that you can’t fail all your classes so you have to ace the one the next day.

And then finding out your friend in the class got an A.

When all your roommates are done with their midterms and you still have two more.

When you and all your friends are finally all done and you have never been so happy in your life. Obviously, you create an elaborate plan of what you’re doing that night.

What you really end up doing that night.
