BC Makeouts has become a staple of BC social media.  We’re all guilty of going on their Twitter page every Monday to see which BC students locked lips over the weekend.  But have you ever wondered who’s behind the risqué photos and catchy captions of BC Makeouts?  Well… we aren’t going to tell who they are, but you can get to know them a little better.  Find out why they started BC Makeouts, if it will continue when they graduate, and much more!

1. How did you get the idea to start BC Makeouts?

We were sitting in Lower for a couple hours (classic) and started talking about how other schools have makeout Twitter accounts.  We saw a void in the BC social media scene and thought we could fill it. We strive to give the people what they want.

2. Did you think it would become a staple of BC social media?

We didn’t know if it would catch on… but we hoped it would.

3. Will you take pictures down if requested?

Yup, every time.  Email us your grievance and we will take it down.

4. What would you say to people who say your Twitter is a form of bullying?

We disagree.  We’re laughing with you, not at you.  Everyone has been there so it’s all in good fun.  Would it help if these people knew all of the founders have been featured on BC Makeouts?  Some more than once…

5. How have you retained your anonymity?

We haven’t had the money to rent a sky writer yet… just kidding.

We kept it secret until one of us was making out at a party and a bystander shouted: “Send it to BC Makeouts!”  This particular founder turns mid-DFMO and yells, “I AM BC MAKEOUTS.”  So at this point we don’t really care who knows.  We just don’t want haters, so we keep it on the DL.

6. Will you pass the account on when you graduate?

That depends.  If we find someone suitable to carry on the dream, then sure.

7. Are there some pictures you won’t post on your Twitter?

Definitely.  There are some things no one wants to see.

8. Do you think your Twitter has made people more conscious of what they’re doing at parties now?

Maybe, but that wasn’t our intention.  Like we said before, it’s all in good fun.  It happens to the best of us.  So keep doing your thing!  No really, or else we’ll go out of business…

So pucker up, BC but be careful! You may be featured next!
