How to Look Your Best on Easter Sunday

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BC chapter.

The Easter holiday is right around the corner. If you are anything like me, you’re probably already planning out what cute spring outfit you will wear on Easter Sunday. Whether you are going to mass as a family or an Easter luncheon with friends, it’s important that you look your absolute best. Here are some fashion tips that guarantee a weather appropriate, fashionable and edgy outfit that you can enjoy showing off to your family and friends.

The “Classic” Easter Look

Perhaps the most popular look on Easter is the “Easter dress.” This dress is usually pastel or “spring” inspired in its color, with floral and colorful prints.

Here is a pastel yellow dress that would look perfect on Easter with nude heels or sandals. However, if you want to make this classic style a bit more updated, you can add in the right accessories. I recommend flashy earrings with “bling” to spice up the outfit, without dressing it up too much.

The “Cold Weather” Easter Look

There’s a good chance that despite your hopes for warm weather, it will be cold and rainy. But never fear! You can still rock a classy Easter look without freezing to death. I recommend a bright and fun colored pantsuit, like one of these:

To make these outfits a bit more fun, you can add in a chunky gold or silver necklace that dresses the pantsuit down a bit. If your pantsuit is neutral, white or black, don’t be afraid to add in some color when you choose your jewelry!

The “Unplanned” Easter Look

What if you don’t have time to go shopping for an Easter outfit? There are still ways that you can make an outfit out of what you already have in your own closet. I recommend a comfy white dress that isn’t too formal. Then, add any piece of jewelry you have. It can be a colored necklace, a set of colored bangles, or even dangly earrings. Remember, color is important. You can be as bold as you want with your color choices, especially because the dress is so plain.

If you are sick of your jewelry, you can also wear bold makeup or play with some bright lip stains. Another option is to wear a colored blazer, such as the one shown here:

I leave the rest in your hands, faithful HC BC readers. If you follow these tips on how to correctly dress for Easter, you will definitely be the most fashionable one at brunch! Nothing feels better than looking your best—so enjoy it everyone!
