Beloved Roggie’s,
You have graced the Boston College campus for 21 years with delicious food, cold beer, and trivia night.
Unfortunately, that will be no more starting in January 2016.
Roggie’s, you were always there for us even at 2 o’clock in the morning, where we clumsily stumbled off the Comm Ave bus and into your mecca of hot pizza aroma and drunk people screaming.
You were there for us during the good times and the bad times: the drunk munchies where we just couldn’t resist, the crying breakdown on Comm Ave when we realize we left our debit card at the bar, and the smile on our face when we received a piece of pizza that came right out of the oven for free.
Roggie’s, your delivery was always the best part of any week. And of course, no one will ever forget your cheap pitchers of beer for the whole table, your delicious wings, wraps, salads, and of course, the pizza that kept all of our mouths watering.
All I ever wanted was to have one trivia night my senior year with you, Roggie’s.
I could nearly taste the victory… either that, or I was still dreaming about the pizza.
Hey Roggie’s, you had a great twenty-one year run. In Cleveland Circle, you were the veteran of the group, but now it is time to pass off your duties to Agoro’s.
You will always be remembered for your delicious food, your party attitude, your relaxed social scene, and the memories made among your walls.
You will be remembered on football Sundays, where you were packed wall to wall with avid fans, and you will especially be missed on Wednesdays, when Trivia night was the best event of the week.
The students of Boston College, especially the alums who had the full experience of Roggie’s, will never forget you.
I hope Agoro’s will continue your legacy, Roggie’s, of great food, beer, football, and trivia that has forever defined the Cleveland Circle area.
You will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
I hope the pizza in restaurant heaven is as good as Roggie’s.
