Fall Fashion: Retro Glam

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BC chapter.

If you are as big a fan of the hit TV series Mad Men as I am, then you can appreciate that the glamorous style of the 1960s is slowly making its way back into our everyday style.  Here are some fun and simple ways to incorporate a little retro glam into your wardrobe this fall.

The Colorful Headscarf

Bored of the same mundane hairdo?  A scarf is an easy way to add spice!  Match a solid color with the rest of your outfit, or try a printed scarf to make a bold statement.  Find inspiration online by searching all of the different ways you can utilize a single scarf to make a completely new look everyday!

Bold Sunglasses

On sunny days, make a Jackie-O inspired pair of shades your statement piece!  While sunglasses are perfect for adding sophistication to any outfit, their most important job is to protect against harmful UV rays, so don’t be afraid to splurge a little for added protection.

High-Waisted Shorts and Pants

Opt for a pair of high-rise shorts or pants for a vintage look.  These go great with crop tops and add an hourglass shape as well!

Red Lips and Nails

The final touch to any outfit has to be cosmetics.  Dazzle in shades of red this fall!  It’s a classic look that never goes out of style, and red matches perfectly with everything.
