The Cutest Spring Dresses

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BC chapter.

Spring has finally sprung!  It has taken quite some time for spring to reach The Heights this year, but thank goodness it has finally arrived.  As warmer temperatures begin to sneak their way into our forecast, it is time we look to our closets and break out those long-awaited pastel dresses.  If you’re looking to invest in a few new spring staples for your wardrobe, look no further.  I have picked out a few dresses from some of our favorite online stores that will have you looking your best for spring!

Light Pink and Perfectly Feminine

One of my favorite places to shop for all things spring is Francesca’s.  This blush pink bandage dress is a great pick for anyone looking to celebrate this season.  Pair it with one of the many statement necklaces from the store.  Francesca’s has a wide assortment of accessories that can be found on their website here. If you’re more of an earring person, check out the pair I picked below as an option to complete this outfit.  For more cute dresses, make sure to check out Francesca’s website or even take a trip to their store in Chestnut Hill Square!

Lilly-licious

What would a spring wardrobe for BC girls be without a Lilly dress?  The “Richelle Strapless Tie Back Dress” is part of the Lilly Spring 2014 collection and is definitely a fan favorite.  This dress screams spring and can be dressed up or dressed down, which makes it perfect for any occasion.  The pink floral print is super fun and totally “Lilly.”  The back has an adorable tie (see below) and the dress also comes in two other prints.  Check out this style dress and more at the Lilly Pulitzer website here

Flirting with Sunshine

This yellow dress will brighten anyone’s day!  The straps are definitely the defining feature that sets this dress above the rest.  The floral detailing is absolutely adorable and makes the back of this dress irresistible.  The A-line skirt makes the style very flattering on any body type.  Check out this dress and others like it at Urban Outfitter’s website here

All Summer Long

While this dress is a bit pricey, I think every dollar is worth it.  The blue sand dollar print makes it a great dress for late spring and will most likely carry over into your summer wardrobe.  From Vineyard Vines, this dress is ideal to wear wherever you may be vacationing this upcoming summer season, or even for a backyard party.  To find this dress and other preppy dresses like it, check out the Vineyard Vines website here.

I hope all of these dresses get you excited for springtime!  In these last few weeks we have on The Heights, don’t be afraid to break out your adorable spring dresses and take in the sunshine!
