Creative and Fun Dates in Boston

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BC chapter.

To try and spice up your dating life a little bit (although, each of these ideas can be taken with a best friend rather than a significant other), here are some fun and creative date ideas to do in Boston!

1. Take a Bike Tour of the City

Take a bike tour of the city with your date; it’s sure to be a romantic adventure! There are plenty of bike tour companies around Boston, so rent a bike and explore the city in a whole new way! That kind of exercise is also a great excuse to stop for a bite to eat afterwards.

2. Head to a Museum

There are a plethora of museums in the Boston area, and some (like the MFA) you can get into free with your BC ID! Some potential museum ideas are the MFA, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, and the Museum of Science.

3. Take a Tour of Fenway Park

Once the weather warms up (what is the deal with the arctic descending upon Boston?!) take a tour of Fenway Park and get a behind the scenes look at the country’s best baseball team.

4. Head to a Theater Production in Cambridge

The Harvard-Radcliffe Dramatic Club often does performances for free in the Adams Pool Theater and the Loeb Experimental Theater (the Ex). Check out what’s showing soon, and enjoy some off-the-beaten-path shows!

5. Eat a Good Meal, and Learn How to Belly Dance!

If you’re feeling adventurous, head to The Middle East Club on Sundays and Wednesdays and have some fun watching talented belly dancers and get up there yourself!

Hopefully these ideas will inspire you to take a leap of faith and try something new for your next date in Boston!

I am a Political Science major and Women's and Gender Studies minor at Boston College. I am an RA on campus and am involved in the Student Admissions Program. Since I am from Florida, I can legitimately say that I love long walks on the beach. I also love getting lost in a world fabricated by a novel, there is honestly nothing better.
