One day, as I scrolled through my Facebook Timeline, I stumbled upon this link. I saw the flyer and continued to read “Join BC Women Innovators Network in welcoming Stephanie Kaplan Lewis Co-Founder and CEO of Her Campus for a special WIN end of semester event.” After moments of fan-girling, informing the rest of the Her Campus BC chapter and my Executive Board, I began my RSVP to listen to a Founder of the organization that I hold so dear to my heart. I have attended countless Her Campus events in Boston and even their annual HerConference event in NYC, so to be able to see my role model up close and personal on our very own college campus may possibly equate to an unforgettable moment.
Stephanie Kaplan Lewis co-founded Her Campus with Windsor Western Hanger, and Annie Wang while they were at Harvard. Long story short, the three girl BOSSES took a change in starting their own company and 8+ years later and they are the number one media site for college women, according to Forbes. Also, more recently they were listed on Forbes’ 30 Under 30 List. Their reach expands throughout college campuses with over 350+ chapters, including our very own here at Boston College.
Her Campus has inspired thousands of girls worldwide to pursue media, marketing, advertising, public relations, and entrepreneurship.
