Boston College Inspired Halloween Costumes

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BC chapter.

Every year, it seems finding a Halloween costume gets harder and harder. You have to avoid being seen as basic, repeating costumes, or wearing the something that it seems every other girl on campus is wearing. In order to help with this dilemma, I have developed a list of costumes with a twist that are not only unique, but will certainly be a conversation starter. Here are my top 5 Boston College inspired Halloween costumes:

1. RA

Nothing puts fear in the hearts of underclassman faster than hearing the spine chilling knock of an RA on a Saturday night. To be truly scary this Halloween, throw on a pair of jeans, a BC polo shirt and a name tag to make yourself look official and scary.

2. Jesuits

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and here at Boston College we love our Jesuits. So, in order to best honor them we should dress up like them! This Halloween, ditch the sexy costume and instead opt for a saintly costume! St. Ignatius will be proud.

3. The Grass

Every year, thousands of tuition dollars go into maintaining the grass on the quads of BC. Regardless of the fact that this is a huge waste of money, complaining about the grass has become an integral part of the Boston College experience! So, to honor this debate, wear a green morph suit and grass skirt and go as the grass of Boston college this year!

4. Baldwin

Baldwin is everyone’s favorite mascot in these parts (much better than the bulldog who lives down the street). So, show your school spirit by being Baldwin. Also, not only will this costume scream school spirit, but it is also slightly creepy which will fit the Halloween spirit.

5. BC Bus

Whether you live on Newton, live off campus, or take the bus to the T station regularly, the bus is a BC icon. This year, get crafty and make a costume based on the BC bus! You will surely grab the attention of all in this costume.

There you have it! These five costumes will certainly be conversation starters at whatever event you choose to attend in order to celebrate Halloween.
