Companies like Frank Body, Babescrub and more have created a frenzy in the skincare world. They’re all over Instagram feeds and women’s skin claiming to exfoliate, hydrate and smooth skin. Additional benefits include treating skin conditions like cellulite, eczema, psoriasis and more.

After personally trying a coffee scrub, I can say that the few days following use my skin was at its softest and most hydrated. The hydration and smoothness alone are enough to make coffee scrubs more than worth their hype. Who really wants to regularly pay money for a new product though? Luckily, anyone can get the same effects as a major brand coffee scrub with two simple ingredients. This way, a greater quantity can be made for the same price in an easier way.

All that is needed is equal parts organic and unrefined coconut oil and organic coffee grounds.

Why are coffee scrubs so effective with amazing benefits?

The coffee grounds act as a natural exfoliant, sloughing off dead skin. At the same time, the caffeine increases circulation and blood flow to treat the aforementioned skin conditions.

On the other side, the coconut oil delivers intense moisture without blocking pores or irritating the skin in any way.

The best part about it all? It works! More importantly, it leads to real results without any unnecessary chemicals, sulfates, parabens or unnatural ingredients.
