One of the best parts of going back to school is adding some new items to your wardrobe. Here are some of the must haves we’ve been seeing for this fall.
1. Converse: Whether it’s Converse, Superega or any other brand, these sneakers are an absolute must-have at BC. They’ve been in style since we can remember, which is why they landed first on the list. Converse match with most casual outfits and they’re comfortable. As a BC student, you walk a lot (whether you like it or not) so it’s important to have a good pair of sneakers. These shoes are indestructible and easily cleaned. Plus, they are perfect for football tailgates!
2. Bomber Jacket: Every BC Collegiette knows the warm weather is short-lived in New England. So it’s important to have a light jacket you can wear in the early fall. One fall fashion we’re obsessed with is the bomber jacket. It’s a letterman jacket with a modern twist. Try pairing the bomber jacket with a fitted t-shirt and a pair of jeggings. To make your look a bit edgier, throw on a pair of booties.
3. Cropped Jogger Pants (Trendy Sweatpants, in a nutshell): The day has come where laziness and style have come together. You will no longer feel scrutinized for wearing sweatpants to class. We are in love with the cropped jogger pants for this very reason. They are essential for the cold weather so get them while you still can. These pants are easily matched with a simple t-shirt and pair of colorful sneakers.
4. Chokers: Yes, it’s like the 90s all over again! Chokers are making a comeback and this time with several variations. There’s the traditional choker necklace we all know and love and then there are many other fun ones. You can match the plain black with one with a crop top and pair of jeans. The metal ones (see below) easily dress up a romper or a blouse.
5. Leather Backpacks: Backpacks are the way to go for college because they fit everything from your MacBook charger, to your colossal Shakespeare textbook. That’s why we’re obsessed with leather (and faux-leather) backpacks. They give you a much more chic, adult look without sacrificing utility and comfort.
