5 Fall Scents to Spice Up Your Dorm

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BC chapter.

Fall is in the air, and that means all those delicious scents are coming out. Unfortunately, most college dorms do not allow candles. So what does a collegiate do when she can’t have Autumn Leaves or Red Apple Wreath candles to make her dorm feel like home? She uses her imagination and gets all the best scents as fragrance spheres or room sprays! Luckily, Yankee Candle is having a sale on room sprays and fragrance spheres for only $3.00. Here are some of the best scents of the season to try out.

Autumn in the Park

Not only will this room spray make your room smell like the comforts of fall, it is super convenient to use. Just take out the bottle, pull off the cap and do one to two sprays around the room. If you’re really feeling autumnal, go ahead and do a third spray.

Apple Pumpkin

The two smells associated with fall have been put together into one amazing scent. And fragrance spheres are like candles without the wax. Basically, they’re just little squishy balls that “neutralize odors and refresh small spaces” according to its description on Yankee Candle’s website.

Macintosh

Who doesn’t love the smell of apples in the fall?! This scent will have you craving some sweet juicy macintosh apples by the time you finish spraying your room. Besides, it’ll help make your room smell nice in a building that has probably been around forever.

Honeycrisp Apple Cider

More fragrance spheres that will delight your senses as you study in your room or will refresh your dorm after all your friends leave. This smell is perfect for that fall day when you want some nice autumn air but it’s too chilly to open a window.

Spiced Pumpkin

Although Halloween has passed, that doesn’t mean that pumpkins have gone out of season. And spiced pumpkins are just a scintillating scent. If your dorm room needs some seasonal sprucing up, consider getting this room spray.

What’s nice about these alternatives to candles is that they come in as many scents as candles. When Christmastime rolls around, there are a ton of different options to choose from to make your room smell like cedar or Christmas cookies or any other festive fragrance. And if these fall scents weren’t your style, there are plenty of others to choose from to make your room smell festive and fresh.
