What is Beauty

Thursday, December 1, 2011

What is beauty? That question has haunted women for years. Beauty has been the cause of eating disorders, jealousy,  hidden mirrors and an overall contempt for the TRUE beauty that is a woman's form. I am on a quest, you may say, to find the true definition of the word. Not a rail thin, unhealthy, dieting form of the word...but the definition as it was intended.

Ever notice how when women get all dressed up to go to a wedding, or a prom or whatever, they take extreme pleasure in delighting in one another. "You look Beautiful" they say, "That dress is fabulous!" they squeal in delight. Why can't that be everyday? Why can't ordinary women be beautiful everyday instead of one day of their existence? Why do we allow ourselves that one night, and then go back to our sweats, and our mediocre days of too much makeup, and not enough...beauty? I want that to be different.

I invite you to go on this journey with me. A journey for the true definition of beauty. If you are tired of not feeling like you are a true beauty, then come with me. Every single woman on this earth should feel beautiful, after all we are all unique and different in our own ways. But its high time we start feeling like the incredible beauties we are. Its time we discover the true meaning of beauty.

Let's start by looking in the mirror.
