Meet J.J. Ilseng, the new Study Abroad and Exchange Advisor for Baylor.  He graduated from Texas Tech for undergrad and from Vanderbilt for grad school.  He also served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Romania and loves to travel.  Sic’em J.J.
 
Where are you from?
Ohio.
 
What is your favourite part of working on a college campus?
That I’m working for higher education and that it is where minds go to learn and ultimately where minds go to change.

Dr. Morera, because he doesn't show mercy in slackers. His class taught me to work extra hard to get to my goals. What are your favorite places on campus?

What is your major, classification, and graduation date? I'm working on a double-major in English and Linguistics with a minor in Creative Writing. I'm a senior and will be graduating in May. What activities are you a part of at Baylor? I am president of Sigma Tau Delta (Baylor's English honor society), vice president of The Baylor Literary Society, and poetry editor of The Phoenix literary magazine. Who have been your most influential professors? Dr. Bill Davis in the English department is one of my heroes. He is a fantastic poet and creative writing instructor. I will always be indebted to him.
