Welcome back Bobcats! Hope you had an awesome winter break! Bates went to 0 from 100 real quick. Here are some essentials to survive the winter in Maine.

1. Bean Boots
As all you know, many of Batesies already have one. There are many styles of boots out there, but many Batsies prefer Bean boots to almost all else out there. Do get a pair of boots that rises above your ankles, laces up nicely and is waterproof!

2. Thick Jacket
Of course! You need a thick jacket. Without a thick warm jacket, this winter will be harsh. It doesn’t have to be super expensive and fancy. Get a comfy warm one that you love!

3. Lip Balm and Moisturizer
Maine winters are very dry. It is important to keep your skin moisturized and healthy especially in the dry and cold winter! There are nice lip balms and moisturizers that you can purchase easily in the grocery stores or cosmetic shops with affordable prices!

4. Winter Socks
Again, Maine winter will be not the easiest winter you will face. You will need warm winter socks to keep your feet warm. Don’t forget to get winter socks to avoid frostbites!

5. Warm Blanket
There’s nothing better than a warm, cozy blanket with hot drinks and Netflix.

6. Hot Chocolate

Always, hot chocolate is good for us. There is nothing hot chocolate can’t help in winter.

7. Alcohol
Alcohol does the same as jackets, doesn’t it? Don’t forget that you have to be 21 to drink! (;
