Fall Favorites

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Bates chapter.

Fall is finally upon us, and it’s the perfect time to break out those cute boots and cozy sweaters before it gets too cold! Fall at Bates is wondrous time! Here are some of my all-time favorite things for a fun filled fall at Bates.

1. First things first, it’s time to change your wardrobe No one wants to put away their favorite summer shirt or dress, but now you can finally wear that giant sweater your grandma gave you last year. And you could even pair one of those summer dresses with a warm sweater as well. The possibilities are endless.

2. Boots, booties, and more boots  Grab your boots and get to walkin’. Rain or shine, your boots will thank you later. Also, many retailers have shoe sales going on now! Don’t miss out!

3. Love Bates, now go out and explore!  Maine is a gorgeous place to be to experience breathtaking foliage. Take a trip down to Nezinscot Farm in Turner or to Freeport.

4. Apples Go apple picking, drink piping hot apple cider, and eat sweet apple cider doughnuts. Ask any Bobcat, going to Wallingford’s is a Bates must, just a short drive away from getting all the apples and treats your heart desires.

5. All night having chai, all night We get it pumpkin spice is usually a fall must have, but how about swapping it out for some hot or iced chai. It smells amazing and makes you want to stop and enjoy life. Seriously, Chai is life changing. Every Wednesday go to the Ronj and get your dollar chai on or enjoy a soothing time at Pause on Wednesday as well and afterwards sip on that chai. Or if you are more of a Thursday person, check out the Village Club Series for more chai and good music.

6. Pics it or it didn’t happen Go outside and enjoy the crisp fall air! But don’t forget to bring your camera to capture some great foliage pictures with your friends. It’s all about making great memories!
