One of my favorite parts of watching TV is analyzing the costume design. Characters’ style, like in reality, tell the viewers a great deal about their personality and where they come from. Also, the colors on the screen, made up by set and costume design, create the mood of that show. When a character is especially well dressed, I get all happy inside and inspired to show off my own sense of style… right after I get off my bed and stop watching TV! While I can appreciate every costume, I made a list of my personal favorite character styles on TV:

1.    Mindy Lahiri from the Mindy Project:

I LOVE how Mindy plays with color and pattern! Her style completely fits her bubbly personality.

2. Serena Van der Woodsen from Gossip Girl

Serena’s style is a mixture of hippie, flirty, and glam! Serena dresses to impress her many admirers and show off her unique, upper-east-side-meets-sweet, personality.

3. Aria Montgomery from Pretty Little Liars

Playing with studs, leather, frills, and floral, Aria’s eclectic style is the perfect balance of girly and goth.

4. Jessica Day from New Girl

Jess’s style is unashamedly preppy. Stripes, polka dots, colorful prints, and bows, make up the entirety of her wardrobe… which absolutely fits her sunny and quirky disposition.

5. And last, but certainly not least, Carrie Bradshaw from Sex and the City!

It’s no wonder Carrie inspired an entire generation of young women. Nobody does over-the-top better than her!
