Makeup junkies can usually all agree on one thing, even though we may have piles of foundations, blush, and mascaras, we always end up grabbing the same few products. While these “favorites” may end up being rotated out in a month- for a short time we have our go-to products. Here are some of my favorites currently (beware as they are subject to change)

Foundation: Nars Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation: This foundation is great for those who have oily skin (like me) yet still want a natural glow. This foundation has medium coverage and is easy to build if you want full coverage. For a lighter, dewier look, use a beauty blender. For more coverage, use a foundation brush. It lasts for 16 hours and has 33 shades, and is transfer resistant and sweat resistant. It lasted the Miami heat, so I approve.

Powder: Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder: This powder has long been a favorite among beauty gurus everywhere- I can see the hype. I live by powders, as an oily skinned girl naturally does, and this one does not fail. This powder is great because you receive no flashback in photographs, is universal for skin-tones, and a little bit goes a long way so it lasts a while. It sets makeup without falling into fine lines and makes skin look matte but not dry, which is what a good powder should do. 10/10 would recommend.

Contour: Matte Stix BEAUTY Match FENTYSkinstick : We have all heard the deserved hype of Rihanna’s makeup line. Every product is amazing, yet her Match Stick’s will always be one of my favorites to contour. When picking out a contour shade, choose one 2-3 shades darker than your natural skin color. I love these because they are extremely pigmented and blend very easily, not looking streaky at all. They give a natural contour and warmth from within, what more can you ask for?

Blush: Anastasia Beverly Hills Blush Trio: If you want pigmentation, look no farther than this blush. Each palette has three shades of similar color families. You can use each color individually depending on your desired look, or you can use all three shades together. The latter is my preferred approach because you get a rosy color to your cheeks that is not just one-dimensional- the blend of colors makes the color look more natural like you’re truly blushing from within.

Lip Color: TARTE Lippie Lingerie Matte Lip Tint: This has been my go-to lip product. This Lip Tint is very versatile. You can make it look very natural or dramatic depending on the color you choose. For a more natural look, dab the color on your lips and rub them together. For a darker look, use the Lip Tint like you would a lipstick, which delivers more pigmentation. These are very hydrating and last a long time. My personal favorite color? Bare.

I have a passion for hair and makeup, and hope to be involved in the beauty industry.
