Halloween is coming up! And that means most of you are running out of time to come up with a creative costume idea. Each year there are certain costumes that seem to pop up everywhere. So whatever you decide to be, stay away from these cliché costumes… unless you don’t care to be clever or original.
Kitty Cat
Basically any kind of ‘sexy animal’ costume has been done countless times before. This is definitely an easy choice of a last minute Halloween costume- put on something tight, black, and short, throw on a pair of animal ears, maybe draw a few whiskers on your face and call it a day. But where’s the originality in that? It’s time to get creative and ditch this lame costume.
Miley Cyrus
This has been a common Halloween costume ever since the beginning of Hannah Montana but it has become even more cliché ever since her 2013 VMA’s performance. This costume was cliché before it even became a costume. Return the foam finger, put your tongue back in your mouth, and find a new idea.
Naughty nurse, sexy cop, hot nerd, etc.
Halloween is the one day where you can dress up as whatever you’d like, but this idea to just make anything ‘sexy’ and call it a costume is getting old quick. These have all been overdone and it’s past time to change it up. Dressing up as a sexy cop may have been shocking years ago, but now whoever dresses in this getup seems to blend in with the rest of crowd.
Lady Gaga
Just because Lady Gaga wears a costume everyday of her life doesn’t give you an excuse to dress up as her for Halloween. Yes, there may be a thousand different ways to go about this costume (thanks to her many outrageous outfits) but we’ve seen just about every one of them. If you really want to go as a celebrity for Halloween, choose someone a little more uniquely done than her.
Playboy Bunny
Do you really want to be that girl? Sure you might think you look sexy and cute but this costume is probably the most over-worn costume of all time. Being a Playboy Bunny is even more basic than being a regular sexy bunny, and that’s hard to do. So why not try to be something that’s a little less sl*tty and maybe a little more creative; honestly it shouldn’t be too hard.
