Photo Blog: Apple Tart Recipe

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Auburn chapter.

Use leftover apples and store bought frozen puff pastry to create a deliciously simple dessert in less than an hour. Notes of cinnamon and vanilla contribute a warm scent and flavor to the fresh treat. Serve with vanilla or cinnamon ice cream for a light dessert!

Apple Tart Recipe

1 sheet frozen puff pastry, cut in thirds

2 apples, cored and sliced thinly

1/2 cup light brown sugar

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 415 degrees. Unwrap puff pastry and let thaw for 20 minutes. Place puff pastry on a greased baking sheet. Slice apples in thin pieces, and combine with brown sugar, vanilla and cinnamon in a medium sized bowl. Once apple slices are evenly coated in sugar mixture, place the slices on each third of puff pastry, overlapping each piece.

Bake for 18 minutes.
