2013 Alpha Psi Rodeo

  As most Auburn students can tell you, the 2013 Alpha Psi Rodeo is this weekend! Since 1965, Alpha Psi has been hosting the “single largest fundraising event conducted by the students of Auburn University.”  This Saturday, April 13, students from Auburn and all over the south-east will head to 2065 Sandhill Road bright and early. Gates will open at 8:00a.m. and the fun begins almost instantly. Bull Riding, Team Roping and Steer Wrestling all take place in the center of the field as students look on and enjoy each other’s company. The night will end with a fabulous concert from two of the biggest names in country music, Brantley Gilbert and Kip Moore.  READ MORE

Student Film Festival

If you prefer small, independent films over box office monsters and free food over $20 popcorn, we've got a perfect plan for your Thursday night. This Thursday, April 11, Auburn University's UPC is putting on the Student Film Festival. The Festival will last from 7:00-9:00pm and will be on Cater Lawn. There will be popcorn and refreshments served for free to students. The interesting part of this film festival? Every film shown will have been created and submitted by an Auburn student. On top of getting to view each film, the audience will be able to vote on the film they liked best. This "Fan Favorite" will receive a $100 prize. There will also be a panel of judges who choose 1st and 2nd place winners, who will also receive monetary prizes....

Coloring Africa 5k at Martin Luther King Park

The Four Corners Ministry of Opelika's Coloring Africa 5k will take place Saturday April 20 at 8 a.m. The event will be located at Martin Luther King Park in Auburn and any humans are welcome, but runners may not bring animals. Children are also welcome with adult supervision. The ministry suggests to wear all white and cover eyes with goggles and mouth with a bandana, as the runners will become very colorful toward the end of the event! Spectators are also warned they may get a little color as well. The race will not be timed and runners are encouraged to wear a wristwatch if he or she wants to record race time. The proceeds will benefit Four Corners Ministry in Opelika which focuses on assisting with spiritual and financial needs of orphaned children and...
