There is nothing more sacred than a girl’s night in. Don’t get me wrong, doing full glam hair, makeup, and outfit for a night out is always fun, but sometimes there is nothing better than a chill night at home with your girls. A girl’s night in is our time to catch up on the latest gossip, eat our favorite junk food without feeling guilty and regroup from a stressful week. While there are many components to a successful girl’s night in, the most important is the movie of the evening. So without further a due, here is a list of the top five movies to watch the next time you and your besties are having a night in.
1. Clueless
One of the classics, Clueless will make you wish it was still the ‘90s. This film will make you laugh, while also reminding you that boys are definitely not everything and sometimes the best person for you is who you least expect.
2. Any Nicholas Spark’s film
We couldn’t choose just one because honestly, you can’t go wrong with popping in basically any and all Nicholas Spark’s movies. Dear John, The Notebook, A Walk to Remember, and so many others will make any night the ultimate girl’s night. Just make sure that tissues are nearby.
3. Mean Girls
Again, another classic. You and all your friends can probably quote the entire movie, but it just never gets old! It’s funny, relatable, and a good reminder that putting down others doesn’t solve any thing. And c’mon, I don’t think any one would object to looking at Aaron Samuels for two hours.
4. Bridesmaids
As girls, there are two days in our lives that we have dreamt about since we were little, our own wedding and our best friends wedding. This movie proves that as girls, we are genetically programmed to be obsessed with weddings. While hopefully our two big days go a bit smoothly then it does for Annie and Lillian, the bond between these two besties is what we all want with our maid of honor.
5. Titanic
Not only do Jack and Rose have one of the most romantic love stories ever, the movie is fantastic! This movie makes you laugh, cry, and hope that you’ll find someone who will never let go.
While this list in no way includes every movie to make your girl’s night perfect, it’s a pretty good start! While movies, junk food, face masks, and gossips are great, the most important part of any girl’s night is the people you are with. So be silly, let loose, and enjoy making memories with your girls.
