Game Show Network’s Biggest Fan: Meet Chrissy Nurnberg

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at App State chapter.

You can search Appalachian State’s campus for days to find the perfect woman, but if you’re not searching at the river, on the tennis court, or somewhere that Family Fued is playing, you certainly won’t find the most quality woman there is: Chrissy Nurnberg.

Chrissy is a vivacious, free-spirited 21 year old senior majoring in Psychology with a minor in business from West End, North Carolina. Not only does she have the brains and the beauty, but she’s got the athletic genes to go along with them because she plays Tennis for App’s Club team AND holds an executive position as their treasurer.

Sitting down with Chrissy, I asked her to tell me more about the organization. She lit up and became excited saying, “Club tennis is a club for students who already know the sport and want to play at a more competitive level than intramural. As a club sport we host matches as well as traveling to other schools for matches and tournaments. This year is our first year as an official club sport so there has definitely been some struggles going through that transition, but I’m super excited that I was a part of this process and hope to see how the club grows in years to come.”

*Shameless plug here: Club Tennis has their next away match this Sunday in Hickory, so if you’re not cheering for them, you’re wrong.*

In her spare time, you’ll find Chrissy at the top of a mountain, at TApp room grabbing a beer, hanging out at Guy Ford, watching Family Fued, as the Game Show Network is ALWAYS on in her household, or hangin’ out with her kitty, Cali.

(If looks coud kill, this photo would have all of us dead).

If she hasn’t caught your eye with her charm, her wit, and beauty, maybe her relationship status will! In her very own words, Chrissy is “single as a pringle” (and the reason why baffles me, becuase, come on, have you met her?!) She’s also been in the studio audience for Family Fued, so that’s a date idea right there, fellas.

You can scour the campus for a better woman all you want, but I guarentee you won’t find one. The longer you wait to meet her, the longer you will be missing out on the world’s most wonderful, one of a kind, amazing woman you could ever hope to meet.

Jennifer is a senior Public Relations major with a minor in Sociology. When she isn't writing, Jennifer is involved with her sorority, Alpha Gamma Delta-Nu Alpha, is writing music, is making your favorite coffee, stopping every stranger on the street to pet their dogs, probably napping, and giving glory to The Lord for all of the opportunities she has been given.
