As the weather gets cooler, the beverages must get hotter. There’s no better way to enjoy a dreary fall day than to be cuddled up on the couch, with a good read and a hot drink. Here are  a few twists on classic drinks to try this season…

1. Pumpkin Pie White Hot Chocolate

This decadent drink combines two of the season’s favorites – pumpkin pie and hot chocolate – into one rich treat. For those of us under 21, just leave out the rum. If you really want to get festive with it, try adding yellow and red food coloring for an orange hue that’s fun for Halloween.

2. Toffee Caramel Latte

Who doesn’t love a caramel latte? But this one – with two shots of expresso and toffee syrup – definitely takes the cake. It’s a spin off of the famous “Carl Sandburg” drink from the Battery Park Book Exchange in Asheville, NC. Topped with whipped cream and caramel sauce, it’s sure to warm your hands and put a smile on your face.
