So what is better than laying in your bed with your S.O.(or BFF) on Valentine’s Day weekend and watching a ton of sappy or hilarious romance movies? If you have the right snacks, absolutely nothing. So here’s a list of some of my favorites:

“Walk The Line” – Follow the twisty story of Johnny and June Carter Cash through concerts, cocaine, and more love songs than a heart can hold. It’s a little dark and twisted, so prepare yourself for an emotional journey. If you’re a fan of country music, it’s a must see, and even if you arent, it’s a must see.

Favorite Line:

John: “Tell me you don’t love me.”

June: “I don’t love you”

Johnny: “You’re a liar.”

“Sweet Home Alabama” – My hands down favorite movie of all time. If you love a heartfelt story about two people who are truly meant to be together, this one is for you. If you have ever been in love with the boy that may be just a little bad for you, but perfect for you at the same time, or you just grew up in a really, REALLY tiny southern town, this movie resonates on an incredible level. There’s just enough love, laughter, and even drama to pull anyone in. 10/10 would recommend.

Favorite Line: “The truth is, I gave my heart away a long time ago and I never really got it back.” -Melanie

“The Vow” – Bring out the tissues if you decide to watch this real life love story. “The Vow” is based off real life couple Leo and Paige, and it follows what happens when a car accident causes Paige to lose all memory of her marriage to Leo. The old adage “If they’re yours they’ll come back in the end” is the underlying theme. It’s worth every tear you will absolutely shed watching it.

Favorite Line: “I vow to help you love life, to always hold you with tenderness and to have the patience that love demands, to speak when words are needed and to share the silence when they are not, to agree to disagree on red velvet cake, and to live within the warmth of your heart and always call it home.” -Leo

“Friends With Benefits” – If you’re the type of girl who loves the story where the two best friends end up realizing they’re perfect for each other (lets all be honest with ourselves and agree we do), and you love adorably cheesy rom-coms, then look no further. Mila Kunis is the female lead we can all fall in love with because she gets the career, the guy, and can do bad all by herself. Do yourself a favor this year and watch this.

Favorite Line: “And hey, I love women. They’re beautiful, majestic, mysterious, mesmerizing creatures. Smart, empathetic, far superior to men in every way. And if I had a choice, I would be with women to my dying day.” -Tommy

“Crazy Stupid Love” – Three words: Ryan. Gosling. Shirtless. Two more words: Steve. Carell. This is one of the most honest, heartfelt, hilarious, and relatable romance movies of all time. You follow all of the characters on their confusing, and truly strange happenings with dating and divorce. The film really hits on how being in love can be awful and perfect all at once.

Favorite Line: “Will you take off your shirt… f**k! Seriously? It’s like you’re Photoshopped!” –Emma to Jacob (Ryan Gosling)

“Valentines Day” – So this one is a little more than obvious, but it is equally as adorable and feel good. This movie falls in a group of holiday movies that tie a lot of people together by showing how people deal with various holidays and situations. The best part of this one is vintage T-Swift and Taylor Launtner back in their Taylor squared days. Do yourself a favor take that stroll down memory lane.

“The Notebook” – So of course this movie made it on the list because, how could it not? Noah and Allie are the original #RelationshipGoals. It has just the right mix of drama and happy endings, and it has young Ryan Gosling shirtless so it’s a win win win. If you find yourself needing to believe in love again, watch this one because it is based off of Nicholas Spark’s grandparents.

Favorite Line: “But in one respect I have succeeded as gloriously as anyone who’s ever lived: I’ve loved another with all my heart and soul; and to me, this has always been enough.” -Noah

“Talladega Nights” – Now I know what y’all are thinking, but bear with me. What love is truer in life than that of your best friend? Name a more iconic duo than Ricky Bobby and Cal Naughton Jr… I’ll wait. The best way to complete your V-Day weekend is a hilarious movie focused oddly enough on a friendship.

Favorite Quote: “Help me Jesus! Help me Jewish God! Help me Allah! AAAAAHHH! Help me Tom Cruise! Tom Cruise, use your witchcraft on me to get the fire off me!”- Rick Bobby
