Is it just me or is semi-formal a very stressful life event for the single college female? It’s not just another date function. It’s dressy and classy and something you want to remember. But it never fails that no matter HOW EARLY the date document is posted on the Facebook page, my name is always last because I find a date very last minute.
Now, maybe this is my fault because I don’t like taking randos and I don’t have alot of single guy friends, but dang.. why is it so freaking hard to find a guy that wants to go to a FREE, fun event for the night?
Here’s 20 thoughts that go through ladies’ minds after the Semi-Formal date document is posted.
1. Date document is posted on Facebook. Oh here we go, who’s gonna be the first one to post their date?
2. Wow, it would be my best friend and her boyfriend of three years. Practically married couples shouldn’t be allowed to semi-formal anyway.
3. Just kidding I would die if my BFF wasn’t there… she’s practically my date if I’m being honest.
4. Okay I’ve got three weeks to find a date, this should be a piece of cake!
5.*Asks first guy* – Okay crap he doesn’t want to go…maybe I can’t have my cake and eat it too.
6. She’s bringing who?! Lord have mercy bless her heart.
7. Lol I cannot believe she’s going with him… I gotta remember to watch them that night.
8. *Asks second guy* SUREEEE his parents are coming into town that weekend. You don’t wanna go with me… it’s fine it’s fine I’ll move on.
9. I hate when my friends pressure me to bring dudes I don’t wanna bring.
10. *Asks third guy* WOW I barely even know him and he said no. He’s not even that cool… what does he have to do on a Saturday night??
11. I’m over the male population. I’m bringing my best friend.
12. But I really want a cute pic with a boy so everyone thinks I actually interact with males sometimes.
13. Maybe my ex will see muuhahahaha. Yeah, I need to find a hot guy.
14. But then I have to entertain him. And what if he thinks he’s staying over after I go home? Lol, not happening brotha.
15. I know my BFF will drink round for round with me and make me forget that I’ve gotten turned down 500 times in the past three weeks.
16. Okay I’m asking her. Dang, I hope she says yes at least.
17. YAYYYYY YAYYYYY YAYYYY! I love myself for becoming friends with this beautiful human being. So glad I finally found a date even though people may think we are lesbians. It’s fine!
18. Crap am I supposed to buy alcohol for her? I would do it for a guy date. Dang it, this sucks.
19. I have to look hotter than her right? I know she’s my best friend but this is my sorority… is that mean?
