Whether you’ve had the same best friend since birth or you didn’t meet her until you came to college, have you ever stopped to appreciate the little things she does that make her the absolute best? Seriously, who else knows you inside and out and will still put up with all of your crazy? Thank you to our awesome best friends who do all of these things and so much more.
1. She probably knows your Cook-Out order like the back of her hand.
2. Who else can say “hurt her and I’ll kill you,” to a guy with such conviction? If anyone else said it, you would probably think it’s a joke.
3. She’ll absolutely let you borrow those awesome Steve Madden boots she basically spent a year’s savings on. What’s hers is yours, what’s yours is hers.
4. Without a word she’ll know if it’s one of those nights that you just need to stay in and chill, complete with pizza and your thousandth viewing of The Notebook.
5. Who else would you send a billion screenshots to? That guy you met Friday night texted you? Screenshot. You’re arguing with your boyfriend? Screenshot. And she won’t even get mad.
6. Your forever snuggle buddy.
7. You can communicate without words, just looks. It’s as if you have your own personal form of telepathy.
8. Weird guy at a party won’t leave you alone? It’s totally cool because you have your own personal bodyguard in your best friend. She has no problem saying you’re not interested…..at all… She might even tell people the two of you are lovers. Hey, whatever works.
9. If you speak solely in inside jokes, it’s basically like you two have your own language that no one else will be able to understand.
10. They will like every single thing you put on social media. It’s equivalent to having your own fan club.
11. The two of you coordinate your Netflix watching, so the two of you are always watching the same series. Now you’ll never have to worry about finding someone to talk to about on Scandal or Grey’s Anatomy again.
12. She always gives the best holiday presents because she knows what you like.
13. This is the person that you share your most embarrassing stories and secrets with. Your best friend is like a vault, she’ll never tell anyone what you say in confidence.
14. She’s the only person who can tell you that your beloved poncho is, in fact, ugly. And you know that she says it with such love that it’s not even offensive. She just wants the best for you.
15. Who else can you snapchat your every move to? And let’s not even talk about the ugly snapchats. Even if she takes screenshots, you trust that those babies aren’t going anywhere.
16. She won’t judge you for liking pumpkin spice lattes or for listening to Taylor Swift or for being obsessed with Lauren Conrad or for anything else that is considered “basic.”
17. You can cry over small, mundane things and she won’t think you’re ridiculous. It’ll probably be just as big of a tragedy for her as it is to you.
18. You know you can trust her with anything and that she’ll support you no matter what you do.
