Fall has officially graced us with its presence, so you know what that means… An abundance of, erm, festive, pictures from #boonebasics, that will pop up on every Instagram feed this season. Here’s what you can definitely expect from the #basicwhitegirls you follow (myself included):
1. The Pumpkin Spice Latte
Or really anything pumpkin, let’s be honest. It’s like us #basicwhitegirls can’t resist pumpkin spice. There’s pumpkin spice drinks, oatmeal, and even Jell-O. IT”S SO GOOD. And if we didn’t document our PSL, did we really have it?
2. The Orange Tree on Sanford
You all know the one I’m talking about… The one with the swing and all of the #basicwhitegirls surrounding it. We can’t resist the opportunity to capture the beauty of fall, and then enhance this natural beauty with a filter or two of course.
3. An Apple Orchard or Pumpkin Patch
It’s normal to use picking apples and pumpkins as an excuse to put on your cutest fall outfit – no matter what the weather’s doing – and have a photoshoot, right? There’s something about a picture that says “I’m looking cute while bonding with my family and friends and having tons of fun” that is sure to get 100+ likes.
4. The iPhone 6 Box
Every time a new iPhone comes out, Instagram is flooded with at least 10 pictures of the new phone’s box complete with a caption along the lines of: “New iPhone 6… Thanks mom and dad #blessed.”
5. Coordinating Halloween Costumes
Halloween is every #basicwhitegirls favorite holiday, so there’s sure to be more than one picture of #basicwhitegirls with coordinating costumes that include questionable hemlines. And no matter who’s in the picture, the caption will claim that said #basicwhitegirl “loves their best friend!!!” followed by several emojis. How many best friends do these girls have??
6. New Fall Hair Colors
With fall comes the inevitable hair color change of every #basicwhitegirl across the country. If she’s blonde, she’ll want to be brunette, and if she’s brunette she’ll want to try ombre or carmel highlights… You get the picture. Then, of course, she’ll have to post a selfie to show off her new do.
7. Black Friday Finds
#Basicwhitegirls loooove sales, so it’s just natural that they’ll want to post every thing they bought while maniacally shopping on Black Friday this year. Especially those dark brown riding boots that will go perfectly with leggings and a chunky sweater.
8. Jack O Lantern Carvings
Fall is the perfect time for crafting, and what says artsy more than an intricate design carved into the side of a pumpkin? And yes, it is necessary that we change the location of the picture to a bunch of jack o lantern and ghost emojis, okay?
9. Football Jersey
We may not know a ton about football, but we sure can rock a jersey for a team that we think we like and then post a picture of us rocking said jersey with the caption: “Great game today! #keeppounding.”
10. The New Kale Smoothie from Freshens
Everyone knows us #basicwhitegirls are crazy about health and smoothies, so the new kale smoothie from Freshens is automatically a hit with us. And what better way to show off our healthy snack than by Instagramming a photo with the perfect filter that makes the green drink look absolutely delicious?
