1. Tailgating

Be it a bar, backyard, stadium parking lot, or any other venue, tailgating is truly something to live for. Currently, Appalachian State is trying to kill our student body by starting our football games at noon. I don’t even wake up at 6 AM for class! You think I wanna wake up at 6 AM for tailgate?!

2. Fall Weather

The air hits with a refreshing chill as the past is shed in the place of redemption. So too, a new season is born and starts anew during the fall. Plus – FLANNELS!

3. Fantasy Football

Fantasy football involves little or no physical effort thus IT’S PERFECT! It’s especially great if your fantasy team is breaking your opposing teams backs. Nothing’s better than making your friends feel like losers.

4. Post-Game Celebrations

Nothing is better than celebrating after a big W. Even though here at Appalachian State, we celebrate the L’s and the W’s. You have to support your team regardless.

5. SO MUCH FOOD

So many meats to grill, but not enough game days.

6. The bone crushing hits on the battle field

Nothing says hello quite like a bone crushing blow to the opponent who so foolishly challenges the heart of the defense.

7. Fan Apparel

Nothing else says team spirit quite like it.

8. Inspirational Speeches

Some of them are so intense you might cry. They’re also great to watch before a big test. Seriously, have you ever seen Friday Night Lights?!

9. Sundays

It’s okay if you have to drop out of school so you can dedicate your Sunday’s to your fantasy league and watching ESPN ’til you pass out on the couch. You’re only one of a million.

10. Best of all, seeing your team make it to the big game

Whether it be college football playoffs, or the super bowl, it’s always an incredible experience to know you were there the whole way through.
