Campus Celebrity Christine Croasdaile ’17

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Amherst chapter.
Meet our first Campus Celebrity of the year Christine Croasdaile ’17.  Join us as we learn about Christine’s favorite things to do, her plans for her last two years at Amherst and what she always wished she could say but never got the chance!

Tell me about where are you from

Brooklyn, NY is the place to be (just saying). With great food, greater music, and even more beautiful people, Brooklyn has a rich culture that can’t be duplicated anywhere else.

How does the weather at Amherst compare to the weather back home?

It’s cold here. I don’t like the cold.

Why did you choose to attend Amherst?

You want the real answer? :-)

What are you interested in both academically and leisurely?

I am passionate about media and entertainment from a legal perspective. As a Black Studies and Spanish double major, I am interested in the intersectionality between my academic areas of interest. Leisurely, I’m all about a turn up – from DASAC to my radio station to everyday shenanigans in Drew House, be sure to find me as the life of your next party.

What are you passionate about the most?

Helping others :-)

What are your plans for the rest of your time at Amherst and beyond

To enjoy life as a college student and find happiness amidst my time on this struggle bus.

If you could make one change to the world, playful or serious, what would it be?

I would want all food to taste even better and for everyone to have a smile on their face.

What’s something you’ve always wanted to say but never got the chance to say it?

I never got the chance to say goodbye to my grandmother. Sleep in peace, Grandma Iris.
