Using the Alumni Network for Jobs, Internships, and Life Advice

By Kristen Lee
March 13, 2012 - 11:02am

Let’s be honest—finding a good internship or job is about as stressful as applying for college. Okay, that’s just not true, but it’s an ordeal in itself. So I decided to take a look at the Amherst Career Network. The Alumni Career Network is such a great but underutilized tool that is very easy to access.

Review of Herrel's Ice Cream

By Kristen Lee
March 10, 2012 - 8:18pm

I was driving with my friends to Northampton for dinner on your average Wednesday night. I had been asked to review a restaurant on the Amherst Indicator’s dime, and had planned to go to Thai Garden. By Evelyn Kramer
March 10, 2012 - 8:12pm

Easy S'mores Bars Recipe

By Evelyn Kramer
March 9, 2012 - 9:00am

Here’s a super easy treat to whip up, perfect for a midterm blues pick-me-up.  There aren’t too many ingredients needed, and these taste absolutely amazing.  If you have access to an oven, that’s great, but if not, just use a microwave and eat your s’mores concoction with a spoon.

What you’ll need:
1 stick of butter
1.5 cups graham cracker crumbs (put graham crackers in a Ziploc baggy and crush them.  This is a great way to release exam tension)
1.5 cups marshmallows (mini ones are easiest to work with, but large ones will too)
