At its core, F. Scott Fitzgerald’s beloved novel is a story about appearances—and costume designer Catherine Martin capitalizes on this, lifting traditional styles from the “roaring twenties” and giving them an opulent and modern twist. Joseph StiglitzBy April 20, 2013 - 11:49am One of our most impressive Amherst alums is economist Joseph Stiglitz. He was born in Gary, Indiana and attended Amherst from 1960 to 1963.
