Summer is right around the corner, which means hot and humid weather. It also means you have more time on your hands. Time to make smoothies! Go out and stock up on fresh fruit and try out these fun recipes. Smoothies can be really healthy for you, especially if you make them yourself and skip all the added sugar you may find in ones you get at smoothie shops. They are a perfect way to kick start your day, enjoy as a dessert, or a quick snack.

Mango and Cream Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 of a banana
  • 1 1/2 cups frozen mango chunks
  • 1 cup vanilla Greek yogurt (fat-free, low-fat, etc.)
  • 3/4 cup vanilla almond milk
  • 1/3 cup mango nectar or juice

Berry Power Smoothie
Ingredients:
  • 1 Banana (sliced and frozen)
  • 1/2 cup plain greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup coconut milk
  • 1 cup frozen mixed berries (strawerries, raspberries, blackberries)
  • 1 teaspoon flaxseed

Ingredients:
  • 1/2 a mango- fresh or frozen
  • 1.5 cups frozen or fresh pineapple
