American University’s Student Union Board is proud to announce that the 2015 Welcome Week performers will be The White Panda!
On August 29 in the Tavern at 9 pm, the AU community can enjoy SUB’s first live EDM show in three years.
The White Panda is a Chicago-based EDM duo, DJ Griffi (Dan Griffith) and Procrast (Tom Evans). As childhood friends, they discovered that in college they both had independently pursued EDM careers. In 2009, they released their first single, and have since then had 27 singles reach #1 on Hype Machine. The duo has performed alongside artists like Mac Miller, Wale, MGMT, Tiësto and more. Their first three albums launched them to the top of Soundcloud’s most-streamed artists. The White Panda released their fourth full-length release, “Bambooyah!” in March 2012.
The duo is known for their high-energy live shows with incredible effects, projections, and their classic digital panda masks. Their modern throwback twists will bring excitement, energy, and fun– a great way to kick off the semester!
Opening the show will be American University student Terrell Green, a Second District Records artist.
The concert is open exclusively to AU students, so bring your AU IDs, and be sure to line up early to get a spot to experience an amazing EDM show in our very own Tavern!
