Spring Break is almost here! We’ve all seen the movies or heard the crazy stories: traveling to exotic locations with your best friends, partying until the wee hours of the morning, and maybe overall having the time of your life. Unfortunately, reality isn’t always everything we’ve imagined, and things usually don’t go exactly as planned.
Expectation: Hitting up the beach with your college BFFs in sunny, 80 degree weather.
Reality: Returning to your hometown, where it’s still snowing.
Expectation: Hanging out with your hometown best friends and catching up on the first part of your semester.
Reality: None of your friends have the same break as you, and your family is at work or school.
Expectation: Spending a blissful week free of homework and all responsibilities of the real world.
Reality: Midterms are still a thing.
Expectation: Partying every night until the sun comes up.
Reality: Watching three seasons straight of your favorite Netflix show and not even being sorry.
