7 Things Anyone Who Hates Celebrating Christmas Before Thanksgiving Understands

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at American chapter.

Christmas is a magical time of year that brings joy (and Christmas movies and ugly sweaters) to all. But for Thanksgiving lovers, it is an unwelcome guest in November. Here are seven things you’ll understand if you hate celebrating Christmas before Thanksgiving.

1. This infuriates you:

There are Halloween decorations still in the store. Santa and that zombie dude should not be for sale at the same time!

2. But this does not:

I wouldn’t mind seeing this year-round, tbh. GBL > PSL

3. This restores your faith in the world:

Yaaass, Nordstrom!

4. You HATE hearing Christmas music in November.

I love this song as much as the next person, but please, please, not until after Thanksgiving.

5. Thanksgiving is a time to be with family and friends. Remember that there is always something to be thankful for.

6. As well as a time to stuff your face with delicious food.

So let’s not skip over this great holiday.

7. You love Thanksgiving, but on Friday, this is you:

Brb, listening to Christmas music 24/7.

So let’s take it one holiday at a time. Happy Thanksgiving, collegiettes!
