What has your experience been like as an out-of-state student? “As an out-of-state student, I have had some of the most tremendous personal growth in the past year and a half. I have pushed my boundaries and really branched out in making new friends and finding new adventures. It’s been a challenge to be so far away from my family but I would not trade my time at the Capstone for anything.”
What clubs are you involved in? “Le Cercle Francais and DREAM Alabama and I also work for ZAP Foto.”Why did you choose your major? “I believe I can apply my economics degree one day to a job in the private sector. I may have to go to graduate school but economics is a wholesome foundation to get my foot in the door.”
What do you love most about studying foreign languages? “I love learning about the culture of the language I am studying. Studying French has allowed me to explore more than just French culture but also the cultures of many other Francophone nations in regions like northern Africa and the Middle East.”
What is your favorite part about being in a sorority? “My favorite thing about being in a sorority is belonging to something bigger than myself. I think it’s easy to get really selfishly motivated and lost in college and I love that I have Alpha Gam to focus on something other than myself; whether it be helping a sister or volunteering. I love the purpose it brings to my life.” If your life were an ice cream flavor what would it be? “Mint Chocolate Chip – cool but crunchy.”
What is your favorite part about Alabama? Being so far from home but feeling like I am at home in Tuscaloosa.

Describe your dream date. “Going to the Leavenworth County Fair to get grape sno-cones and checking out the 4-H bunnies.”
