Staff Writer:
A Her Campus Alabama staff writer is required to write articles throughout the year, except for Thanksgiving Break, Christmas Break, Spring Break or summer. Staff Writers can write Campus Features, Blogs, or Profiles. Examples of Features include “5 Hidden Tuscaloosa Treasures,” “5 Things To Know About Guerilla Theatre,” and “Five UA Classes That Will Change Your Perspective.” Blog examples include “Sisterhood Changed My Life,” “10 Things I Learned Within My First 10 Weeks at College,” and “Why Keeping A Journal is One of the Best Decisions I Ever Made.” Campus Profiles, like our Campus Cutie and Celebrity articles, can feature anyone from a current student to a professor or an alumnus. We are accepting staff writers to write all three types of articles, and writers do not have to write the same type of article each week.
Social Media Team:
We must post regularly on each of our social media platforms (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook) to keep our accounts active and engage with our readers. In order to do that we need team members to come up with clever posts and catchy captions about campus life and the content that Her Campus Alabama publishes.
Events/PR Team:

Sorority Liaison: This person will reach out to the sororities about collaborating on events, getting help with boosting traffic, and so forth.

Marketing Manager: This person is in charge of all things chapter promotion. If the chapter is planning an event, they’re in charge of coming up with the strategy the team uses to market and publicize it on campus and in the community.

Outreach Director (Philanthropy/Community): This person is in charge of reaching out to community and philanthropic organizations for potential partnerships.

Photographer: This person is in charge of taking pictures for Her Campus Alabama to be used in publicity materials or to be used as our Snapshot. The Campus Snapshot can cover everything from outfit-of-the-day and university events to beautiful locations on campus or in the Tuscaloosa area.
