American Red Cross: BloodStock Summer Scholarship

We all know college adds up quickly. Tuition, housing, books, spending money… it can put a dent in your bank account. But your bank account isn't the only one hurting. Every single day the Red Cross needs donors for their bank—their blood bank that is. That's why the American Red Cross has come up with the BloodStock Summer Scholarship! If you host a successful blood drive between May 1 and August 31, 2013, you could win a $1,000 or $2,000 scholarship. (Not to forget save many other's lives.) READ MORE

Teams of two play an elaborate, interactive, weeks-long game while living in the wild, scavenging for food, and trying to take out their competition. Everyone's hunting; everyone's the hunted. Producers are looking for teams of two, ages 18-25, who are dedicated athletes, a strong sense of competition and a great reason to want the cash. W.C. Handy Music Festival Design Competition

Got that designer's touch? Want to expand your portfolio? Well here's a chance, collegiettes! The W.C. Handy Music Festival is coming up July 19-28, but they need a design theme for this year. Submit your artwork for the 32nd annual W.C. Handy Music Festival, and your designs just may be chosen to be the face of the festival! Submissions will be accepted until 5 p.m. on April 4. If chosen the winner's design will be used on t-shirts, posters, brochures and other promotional materials for the festival. According to the competition information, "all entries must be an original creation and will be judged on merit, suitability as a visual image, originality, and how well the design reflects the spirit of the Festival."...
