At UConn, Homer Babbidge is the most popular guy on campus. In fact, I would be willing to bet that every single student in Storrs knows his name. Is he a basketball player? A football player? Nope! Dr. Homer D. Babbidge was UConn's president from 1962 to 1972, and one of the first things he did as president was advocate for a greater dedication to research and library collections. The result was our beloved Homer Babbidge Library, which now houses over 2.5 million books and countless places to study!
