Her Campus Mizzou and Rent the Runway Host a Night of Spring Fashion

Her Campus Mizzou and Rent the Runway hosted the Her Campus Catwalk fashion show on Friday at P.S. Gallery in Columbia. The event included a fashion show, food and drinks provided by Room 38, and a competition among Mizzou sororities to see who could purchase the most tickets. The winner received a percentage of the proceeds donated to their chapter's philanthropy.

Sure, we all pin tons of awesome stuff that we wish we could make, but we challenged readers and staff members to actually bring some of their favorite pins to life. The results looked amazing! We'll have to start crafting and baking more often...
Her Campus Mizzou staff writer Linnea Hardin made these yummy pink lemonade cupcakes. "They turned out pretty well!" Linnea says. "The frosting is pretty tart, so I didn't put as much on top as is shown in the picture on Pinterest. I ended up using just a little over half of the batch of frosting from the recipe. These cupcakes were easy to make and refreshing! I would recommend making them. Just know they are a little more tart than you may expect."
Junior Kelsey Cook made a map of Missouri using push pins and yarn. The heart is around the town of Republic, Mo. where she is from.
HCM staff writer Liz Stratman recreated these delicious black bean burgers from this recipe she found on Pinterest.
And I made these irresistible no bake peanut butter bars. The secret ingredient (graham cracker crumbs) gave them just the right amount of crunch!
Shakespeare's Hosts the Adult Swim Carnival Tour

The Adult Swim Carnival Tour stopped by Columbia on Thursday, April 5. The carnival was held at Shakespeare's Pizza and included live music by Band of Skulls, a "superhero" photo booth, and a multitude of fun games.

Former Cardinals manager Tony La Russa spoke about success in management and leadership at Jesse Auditorium Wednesday, March 14. Many members of the audience came dressed in their Cardinal best.

Dancing For The Kids At Mizzou's Dance Marathon

Students got their groove on Saturday, March 10 at Dance Marathon to benefit kids at the MU Children's Hospital. After 12 hours of dancing and countless hours of fundraising, the event raised over $76,000.
"The Dream Team" takes a break from the day of dancing to snap a quick group shot.
Sophomores Lia Reilly and Alex Simpher really got into the spirit of the event!
Sophomores Mary Ellen Dwyer and Lia Reilly took advantage of the other activities available at Dance Marathon. Students could play games, listen to local bands, watch performances by dance teams, and more.
MU Swing Society Promotes the Arts through Dance

The Unions Arts Council held an event for the Spring Dance Sequence Thursday at Stotler Lounge to promote the arts and art awareness at Mizzou. The Mizzou Swing Society performed the many different styles of swing dancing. The dancers invited anyone who walked by to come enjoy the performance.
